Key certifications:

NRR 33

An NRR of 33 means that the hearing protection is estimated to reduce noise levels by an average of 33 decibels across various frequencies.

'NRR' in hearing protection stands for 'Noise Reduction Rating,' which is a single value used to indicate the average level of noise reduction a hearing protection device provides across different frequencies, essentially telling you how much sound attenuation the earplugs or earmuffs will offer when worn correctly; the higher the NRR value, the greater the noise reduction level is considered to be.

NRR is primarily used as a rating system in North America, while Europe often uses 'SNR' (Single Number Rating) and Australia/New Zealand use 'SLC80'; which both differ slightly in calculation.

    Hearos Xtreme

Ever so slightly larger than a 'regular' ear plug (see pic). The foam is denser though which is what adds to the additional noise reduction. As a result of this it's more difficult to roll and insert. Once in it does the job! Might not be suitable for persons with smaller ear canals.

They are good I have used them before but I wish there was something even stronger as I can still hear my partner s snoring but they do block out a lot of the noise

    Really effective earplugs

I am a light sleeper and when I know I need a good night sleep I use these. I have used different types of earplugs and these are the best at keeping the most noise out. They are a bit firmer than others though and can leave my ear canals a bit tender if I use them several nights in a row, but I suppose you need such high density foam to be able to work so well, so I am OK with that.
